If you read the article here, you would think some women are truly foolish enough to believe online con story. Here’s a convict who posts a photo of a handsome young man and calls himself a Disney executive and has a high flying tale. He talks to the women on the phone and then managed to con them into stripping for him before blackmailing them for sex and money. Can you believe that there are just so many scams on the internet? He could even choose the best of his fans. Now, can we really believe all the things bloggers write?

THE women fell for an elaborate con, actually.
From the picture, one can see he is a pudgy man, not so great in the looks department at all.

But this 1.7m-tall, 50-year-old man, who has a previous criminal conviction, was allegedly able to con women into having sex with him and swindle NT$600,000 ($28,000) out of them.

This is how he did it: Taiwanese Weng Jiao conjured up a Prince Charming image of himself on the Internet.

He was 28-year-old ‘Antony’, a 1.94m tall bachelor of mixed parentage, and a high-flying director with the Walt Disney company. ‘Antony’ claimed to have his own clothing label in Japan, with a private plane at his disposal.

To top it off, Weng posted a photo of a handsome man on his blog, claiming it was him.

And with this false persona, he allegedly managed to sweet-talk nine women into allowing him to take nude photos of them, and swindled money out of others. He then allegedly went on to blackmail some of the nine women into having sex with him and even made tapes of the encounters.

Weng’s ‘ugly’ identity finally came to light when some of his victims filed reports against him, reported Apple Daily Taiwan. He was arrested yesterday.

His deceit started three years ago, when he started his personal website. As ‘Antony’, the divorcee described himself as ‘romantic, a go-getter, humorous and good-natured’.

He claimed to be a much-travelled man who had been to the US, France and Japan, and worked on the Disney cartoon, Mulan. He also posted poetic musings in English, Chinese, French and Japanese.

‘Antony’ was so popular that he had more than 400 ‘good friends’ on the Net. According to police, Weng picked the best of his female fans, and pursued relationships with them.

He would chat with them through MSN and Skype, but never showed himself to them. Amazingly, Weng doesn’t even know how to type in Mandarin. According to police, Weng chatted by writing on an electronic tablet.

As for his musings, Weng confessed that he lifted the lines from various websites.

Yet, he was so successful in his pretense that he allegedly managed to coax his unsuspecting victims into stripping for him over the webcam chats with lines like, ‘You have a good figure and an elegant poise, I will get my designers to design a dress for you’ and ‘if you don’t allow me to see your body, I will be very upset and won’t be able to sleep at night!’.

He then allegedly captured these images, and burned them onto discs. The police believe that Weng later used them to blackmail the women into having sex with him.

He allegedly swindled money from some of his ‘fans’ by saying he needed money to land his private jet in Taiwan.

FILTHY ROOM
In his filthy room littered with cigarette butts, police also found a range of model guns, and a huge amount of vitamins and unidentified pills. Weng has a previous conviction for possession of illegal weapons.

When police raided Weng’s home which he shares with his aged mother, the old lady reportedly admitted to seeing her son bring young girls home. She also said she had chided him that he is too old for them.
