It is a rather interest yard sale. B grade actress Tori Spelling, who is most famous for being the daughter of the late Aaron Spelling (Producer of Beverly Hills 90210) had a yard sale with her husband. Some shoppers had to queue more than 3 hours and with as many as 10 news helicopter up on top covering this piece of news. One blogger even flew in from Boston which is like many thousand of miles away, just for the sales. Amazing?

IT was a B-list celebrity’s yard sale and it attracted queues round the block. It even became a national televised event. It could only happen in Hollywood.
The weekend bargain hunt at the home of actors Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott generated as much publicity as cash when fans jumped at the chance to own the former Beverly Hills 90210 star’s cast-offs, reported the LA Times.
Hinting at the overblown hype of Tinsel Town, the event was dubbed the Tori Spelling Dazzling Studio City Estate Sale.
Though the bazaar just off Mulholland drive soon lived up to its name, reaching feverish proportions as ten TV news helicopters clattered overhead and camera crew trucks blocked the road, leading to traffic jams and angry residents, bringing a distinctly down-market feel to this up-market district of Los Angeles.
The paparazzi prowled around outside, eager to get a glimpse of the couple inside their rented home. While outside, hundreds of fans queued in order to possess something once owned by their heroine, some even flew in from as far away as Boston.
‘We were the top news story all day in the entertainment capital of the world,’ McDermott said.
And the couple are certainly not averse to publicity, the entire event was filmed by VH1 for Spelling’s reality TV show So NoTORIous, which is loosely based on her life.
Though the official reason given for the sale was that the pair want to shed some of their possessions as they plan to open a bed-and-breakfast and want to raise their expected child outside of Los Angeles.
Bargain-hunters, only allowed in the house 20 at a time, walked away with a variety of goods, including wine glasses, paintings, lingerie, roller skates and even a rubber duck.
Memorabilia from Spelling’s time with Beverly Hills, 90210 also sold quickly . One person paid US$25 ($38) for a plastic Starbucks mug that reportedly retained a smear of the actress’ lipstick.
Also on sale were souvenirs of Spelling’s wedding to actor-writer Charlie Shanian, whom she divorced after two years when she fell in love with Canadian McDermott, who divorced his wife and married Spelling in Fiji in May.
One person in the queue, Ms Kim Pappas, said: ‘I just feel I need to buy something. It’s my obligation to the 90210 era.’
Another said: ‘I’m just intrigued. No one else’s yard sale would get this much press. My yard sale never got picked up on Access Hollywood. Only in LA!’
Tori is the daughter of the late Aaron Spelling, producer of 90210, Dynasty and Charlie’s Angels. He left his wife, Candy, about US$300 million, while Tori reportedly received less than US$1 million. - AP.

Amazing. So, what have you picked up from the sale?
The only thing I picked up is this lousy blog post. Hehehe…
