When I came across this oddball record breaking news, I felt that it’s perfect tie in for my previous post where the guy claims to have eaten 23,000 Big Macs since May 17, 1972.

In this case, 21-year-old Brad Sciullo took a total of 4 hours and 39 minutes to finish the entire gigantic 15-pound cheeseburger named “Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser” which consists of five-pounds of toppings including bun, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, mild banana peppers and a cup each of ketchup, mustard, relish, and mayonnaise.

For completing the challenge in the under-five-hour time limit, Sciullo won himself $400 cash, three T-shirts and a certificate to show for his achievement.

In what is perhaps one of the world’s most expensive hamburgers, the Four Seasons (How come there is no Four Seasons in Malaysia? Malaysians cannot afford ah?) has created a US$110 (approx RM400) burger filled with Kobe beef (yummy!) and Foie Gras (hmm double yum, though I cannot imagine eating the two together at the same time). In a country where many people work for less than RM10 a day, I truly wonder how many of this burger the hotel chain aims to sell. It is believed from the article that 20 had been sold, probably to the ultra rich indonesians.
